Wednesday News Bites: March 10, 2010

We decided to start a new “feature” here at ComicReaders– comics and gaming related news bites for each Wednesday to coincide with the arrival of new comics. Of course, I only thought of this idea today, which is why the first installment is one day late. “Thursday News Bites” just didn’t make sense to me.

  • Blackest Night #7  tops the sales charts for February 2010. Find out what other titles were at the top of the list at
  • Marvel wants a Captain America movie, and the hunt for the actor to play the lead role is well under way. The Hollywood Reporter has the details as to who is on the list and who is off.
  • J. Michael Straczynski will write Superman and Wonder Woman starting in July 2010. Check out DC Comics for more details.
  • Red Robin gets a new writer in June: Fabian Nicieza. DC Comics made the announcement and Newsarama followed up with more info.
  • Indie publisher Fantagraphics is starting a manga line. Find out what they have it store by checking out the Fantagraphics Web site.
