Good day, fellow HeroClixers. We all shed a tear when we heard the HeroClix franchise was ending, but now we can collectively cheer as it returns stronger than ever with the Hammer of Thor set. I am very excited. It has renewed my interest in the Custom Clix column so after a long absence let’s get to it.

Let’s start with the re-paints first. To begin, we have Doomsday. This was my first DC re-paint, but not the last as I went on to do the Hawk and Dove duo figure. Can you tell what got changed?

My next was inspired by Marvel. I created the Red Hulk or Rulk as he has become known. I list him as a re-paint because the only thing I added to him was Mr. Freeze’s gun. I also included the dial for him. Both the figure and the dial are based on the Hulk from the Ultimate line. The top of the dail indicates that Rulk has an eight range, no team ability and a point value of 182.

Last but not least is Tiger Shark. This powerhouse was built using Sinister’s Rhino body, Mutant Mayem’s Hulk head, and Armour Wars’ Wendigo hands.

The splash is provided by Justice League’s Aquaman. The small, medium and large fins were custom built using old leather. Like Rulk, Tiger Shark is ready for action. His stats are copied from the Fantastic Forces’ Sub-Mariner Vet dial. I got ride of the Avengers team ability and gave Tiger Shark the Masters of Evil team ability. In addition, he has the aquatic transporter ability. I thought it might offset the fact he can take eleven clicks of damage.

Still more to come. Keep clicking! (Keith Dobranski)
