There’s trouble a foot when an explosion in warehouse sets in motion a fiendish plot to kill the former assistant commissioner Sir Samuel Henry. Holmes is summoned to protect Sir. Henry along with the assistance of Dr. Watson. And then things get interesting.
With Guy Ritchie reinventing Holmes for the big screen as a two fisted crime solving action hero in the form of Robert Downey Jr., it’s good to see a more faithful interpretation here. Holmes is spot on as is Watson and Aaron Campbell’s art captures the spirit of the original novels. This first issue is the perfect set up for a Holmes adventure. This is looking to be a pretty good mini-series. (Shane Hnetka)
